Joe Dante (1946-)
Born: November 28, 1946 (Morristown, NJ)
As a teenager Dante was a self described "movie nut". Dante has branched out into television work as well, having directed episodes of Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt. Dante began his film career working for legendary producer Roger Corman. Corman later produced Dante's feature Piranha (1978). Some of his other notable films include The Howling (1981), Gremlins (1984) and The Burbs (1989).
Dante is a host, co-founder and contributor to a website called Trailers From Hell. The website collects a wide range of trailers from classic era films (but primarily horror and exploitation films). in their original form and punctuate them with color commentary from contemporary filmmakers.
